The premise of this reality show used to show the struggle of a how a middle class family deals with the birth of multiple children...along with the their twins, the Gosselin's had sextuplets, which gives them a grad total of 8.
Now I can understand their shock and dismay...who wouldn't be when 6 kids pop out of you. I used to be a fan of the show and really appreciated a respected the parent's strength and bravery in raising their kids.
However, as what happens with most people, the fame has finally gotten to this family and has brought out the worst.
The Gosselin's have upgraded their home at least twice, they have come a loooong way from their meager beginnings. This was a necessity due to the size of their family. However, have you seen their most recent house?!?! It's Ginormous!!! Seriously, there's noooo way their paying for that on Jon's salary and Kate's stay at home income. Their lifestyle's have changed completely! I understand there have been changes and "upgrades" made for the benefit of the children, but come on!!!
Kate is no longer a regular mom, she's a celebrity mom, more on the level of desperate housewife any kind of normal caregiver. She has how many helping hands in that house and has time to treat herself to get done up the way she does. I mean, her hair looks like a hot-mess to me, but still...that's professionally done!
What kind of normal family gets an all expense paid trip to Hawaii and a ski resort in Colorado and wherever the else they get to go!
They get everything free because of the show's advertisement, there's so much freaking product placement it's ridiculous!
Even Kate's plastic surgery was donated and the doctor and his wife made an appearance on the show!
Do they realize how f*cked up their kids are gonna be having grown up on TV?!?! It's on a whole different level that childhood stars...they're childhood reality stars! [idk WTF that even means ;p]
People used to really enjoy Kate and Jon's dynamic, they thought it amusing and realistic, kind of like the Everybody Love's Raymond sitcom, but reality...however, they're not thinking that anymore...
It has been reported on several occasions that Jon has been spotted partying at bars in Pennsylvania college towns and even more recently was seen spotted on a trip with his 23 year old girlfriend/mistress when Kate was with the kids celebrating her birthday. Now I'm not claiming to know the truth about these stories, I just know the allegations...but if you're off partying somewhere without your wife and in the company of another woman...you have problems! Especially a younger woman...you have problems! You have 8 kids at home waiting for you while you probably throw back a few to try and forget that...you have problems! You're a national celebrity with a reality television show about family and America catches you screwing up...YOU HAVE PROBLEMS!
My recommendation you the Gosselin family...get off television!!!
