Osama Bin Laden is dead...

Almost 10 years after the September 11th attack on our nation, the mastermind behind these events Osama Bin Laden was killed.

Apparently, Americans and people all over world are rejoicing because this terrorist leader is not longer alive. It gives them a feeling of justice and of closure...

However...even though he is no longer on the Earth...his beliefs, his ideas, and his hate still exist in our world. Yes, he will no longer be able to do anymore than what he has, but look at what he has done already.

Is his death really a "step forward" as people claim?

This is not bad news, but I can't quite call it good news. Certainly not something I can run and cheer through the streets about. It is however, emotionally stiring news that does conclude part of a very dark chapter in our nation's history. I am very proud of our troops and proud to be an American citizen. I pray that God watch over our troops and bring each one of them home safely.

"One step forward for the war on terror, two steps back for mankind. The eerie-ness of seeing people cheering in the streets on the news makes me think that we will never envision a world where war and violence is not the answer to violent actions against our own nation. When will we truly move forward??" -Kristal Haynes
